This Years NAACP Award Showcase, Highlighted the Crowning Achievements of Such Critically Acclaimed Films as THE GREAT DEBATORS, Directed by and Starring the Screen Legacy of DENZEL WASHINGTON. In accordance, the NAACP recognized Tyler Perry's TBS Showcase, The HOUSE OF PAYNE for its Media Contribution to the HollyWood Industry.
ALICIA KEYS, in All of her Rhythmic Glory, was Awarded and Recognized for Best Female Performer, Best Song and Best Music Video, for the Chart Topping Single, NO ONE. Though Alicia was a NO SHOW, The Living Legends; ARETHA FRANKLIN and RUBY DEE were in attendance to ACCEPT their LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT CONTRIBUTIONS to the HollyWood Industry, as well as The NAACP Principles of Distinction.
The Evening turned Out to be, yet another Classy and Decorative Event, Paying Homage to those of The Black Community Who Continue to Shed a Sense of Decorum, Talent and UnDying Reign Over their Roles in the Genres of The Visual and Performing Arts.
