So, as Im driving home this afternoon, SICK and TIRED of listening to My Ride Along, CD Collection, I decide to turn on the Radio. Switching stations, trying to AVOID Commercials and Broadcast Banter, NOTHING seems to be On 92Q, 93.9, 95.5, 95.9 or 96.3...aside from the Constant Call of the Words, SEXUAL HARRASSMENT. Not being able to UNDERSTAND what the Hell was going on, I Chime in. Call after Call comes in; predominately from Men, Commenting and Questioning these Radio Personalities about what constitutes 'SEXUAL HARRASSMENT'.
I Must REMIND Yall that I was RUSHING Home; like 65 MPH, cause I Clearly Needed to Piss and Post Blogs. I didnt pay MUCH attention. Naturally, as My Media Mind Operates, I ASSUMED that One of Our OWN had either been Accused of Sexual Harrassment, or Convicted.
La La La, Blah* Blah* Blah*...My Sources Reveal that Legendary Basketball Star, ISAIAH THOMAS, of Detroit, Michigan; who took his team to 2 Championships in 1989 and 1991, has been found GUILTY of Sexual Harrassment. I DONT KNOW Where in Hell I have been, Where I had NO CLUE that this woman had filed an 11.6 Million Dollar Lawsuit against this Man. YES! Anucha Browne Sanders, a Graduate of Northwestern University, as well as a Mother of Three, says that Isaiah made 'unwanted' advances towards her. GEEZ LOUISE!~
He admits to asking her for a Kiss in December of 2005, saying, 'What?...No Lovin Today?'...which makes Me Believe that there HAD been some consensual 'Lovin' between the two of them, in the weeks and/or days, prior. Anucha is saying that Isaiah called her a 'BITCH' on one occassion, and then called her a 'HO' on another.
Like, SERIOUSLY, I DONT KNOW All of the FACTS, but, Somehow, Sorry...I Dont Believe that We are being given the Entire Face of the Story. I feel like Im only getting the Chin and the Lips. I Want to get into the entire Look of the Situation.
I absolutely HATE the Lines and Regulations that Constitute 'SEXUAL HARRASSMENT'. Literally, Now-a-Day, a Woman can tell a Man that the shirts he wears to work are too tight fitting on his Chest. IF he continues to wear HIS form fitting dress shirts, that can constitute Sexual Harrassment, on HIS Part.
NO JOKE* Its Really that Serious, and that RI.DAMN.DICULOUS!~

Umm...clearly, we all have our own standards of acceptable behavior depending upon who it is, what they look like, what we want from them, their sexual orientation, and our own motives for that person. I mean really. Haven't we all overlooked less than apprpriate glances, comments, and contact from someone whom we wanted something from (a date, a relationship, a one night stand, some money, an opportunity, etc., etc.), whom we thought was extremely attractive, AND as a woman, I am even going to say from a man who I thought was gay. (Yes, a homosexual man has a free pass to touch and say things to a woman that would be totally offensive if a straight man did it.)
Home girl knew EXACTLY what she was doing and he was too stupid and pig headed to realize that he can't always have what he wants and he may get in trouble for insisting upon it. Ha! Serves him right! Because I am SURE she gave him SEVERAL warnings before the whole lawsuit went down.;)
Someone told me that it comes dime a dozen. So, just because you were once a star athlete and I was once a groupie does not mean that I want to see you tonight or ever again. LOL!
